That What Is Life Is For

It’s so easy to give up. Everyone does it all the time. It’s so easy to say you can’t do it, most of the time people say it to themselves.  It’s so easy to run after someone who constantly hurts you because you’ve been with that person long enough that you are already comfortable with him/her, that you can’t seem to find any reason to leave them because you know it will hurt you if you do.  It’s so easy to go back to the same person doing the same thing, experiencing the same pain and getting over the same heartache over again because you’re already used to it. It’s so easy to take someone back and accept them into your life because that’s many of the things love can do to people.
But you know what’s hard? It’s hard to continue living when everything else tells you to just give up. It’s hard to force yourself of the things you can do because there are people who kept on pulling you down. It’s hard to think about yourself and your own happiness first because you’re afraid to get left behind by the person you love the most. It’s hard to let go of the same thing that causes you pain because as ironic as it may seem, being with that person despite of the pain makes you happy. It’s hard to accept someone new because you’re afraid to start over. It’s hard to open yourself to others because you’re scared to sail away from your comfort zone, and you’re afraid that you will only get hurt.
But that’s life and we don’t live it for others. But if you’ll keep on forcing yourself to the person who doesn’t deserve you and who continuously overlooks your worth, the person who actually deserves you will have no choice but to look for someone who deserves them. Getting over someone and letting go of the past hurts, but that doesn’t mean that it will hurt forever. If you really want to be happy, then perhaps you do it right. Start by walking away from a relationship that has more pain than happiness. Start by accepting that there is someone out there who knows what’s best for you, YOURSELF.
